The whole world could see live that Trump and Vance, President and Vice President of the United States, set a trap for the legitimate President of Ukraine, Volodomyr Zelensky. They tried to make him sign an abdication without any security guarantees accompanied by the predatory appropriation of his country’s subsoil, and when he refused they exhibited their violence.

This is a clear aggression against Ukraine coming from the United States. It is direct aid to Putin, open support for his aggression, aid in the continuation and intensification of the massacres against the Ukrainian civilian population, the oppression and Russification in the occupied zones, and it is an offensive to demoralize Ukrainians and Europeans, aimed at making Ukrainians despair.

Awareness is beginning to arise in the broad European masses. The nations of Europe are threatened on two fronts, this is what is becoming clear. The fate of Ukraine immediately determines the fate of Europe, and it is also the fate of the United States, of democratic rights in the United States, that is at stake: these different issues come together in one. Namely: to defeat and drive out Trump, Musk, Vance and Putin!

It is in this sense, that of social, democratic and ecological struggles, that the need for European rearmament and the increase in military budgets is posed, alongside budgets for education, health and the environment. With the governments currently in place in Western Europe, this cannot be done: they are like Biden was. If they rearm, it will be to the detriment of social and environmental budgets, it will be to buy from the US military-industrial complex, and it will not be to save Ukraine but to share the zones of influence by trying – in vain – to have their portion between Trump and Putin.

The surge must come from the workers’ movement and social struggles. It must be expressed from March 8 in the feminist demonstrations against the violent masculinists Trump, Musk and Putin. The fight against the extreme right is the fight against Trump, Musk and Putin. The fight for democracy in France, for a democratic regime, for a government that raises wages, repeals pension reform and saves public services, is the fight for a democratic government of combat, armed if necessary, against the Trumps, the Musks and the Putins.

This war is the social war and the people will win it through internationalist solidarity. Started in Donetzk in 2014, it must end in Washington, with the American people. Aplutsoc calls on activists, individuals who are becoming aware of the tasks of present history, to regroup and contact us.
